Summary :
"What a fantastic resource…
- it’s got pretty much everything you need in there in one place and is still small enough that you can lug it around with you;
- it isn’t overly technical i.e. it has just the right level of detail such that the important things are not lost, as is often the case with these technical manuals, is logically structured and easy to find your way around, and;
- the pictures paint a thousand words.”
CEO, Wildlife Health Australia
While there are more capable diagnostic laboratories now than in the past, it remains evident that these services have often had a limited impact on the wellbeing of farmers in isolated rural communities or on the health and productivity of their livestock. Farmer and community contact remains predominantly with animal health extension services at the district level where resources are generally limited and laboratory support and facilities are poor.
